About Katie
For those that don't know Katie yet; she is not hard to spot. Usually exceedingly well turned out demonstrating a penchant for classic, quality attire and a love of exuberant accessories. She adores the 1950's and feels she was born in the wrong era. Wherever she is , her three hairless cats are not usually far behind. Don't be fooled by her chic exterior as within lies a practical, dependable down to earth girl who loves all things outdoors and getting mucky with her man. It's often been remarked that her outside and insides don't match. Katie has had vast experience working with SEND children within the education sector and now runs a private psychotherapy clinic for teenagers and adults from her stupendously maximalist riverside therapy space in Boston Spa. She loves nothing better than having a good rummage in antique shops to dress a home, going for long dog walks, attending a shoot day as Stephen's 'ornament', casting a fly and cuddling up with a mug of Horlicks in front of a log burner on a cold night. Stephen is indeed a very lucky man and Katie is the best thing he has ever found on the internet!
About Stephen
It is unlikely that you will not have heard about Stephen, even if you have not managed to meet him in person because it seems that he is 'The Holy Grail' of all partners and Katie has spent the past two and a bit years being smug about it to anyone who will listen!
If she had to describe Stephen, she would always use the phrase 'A True Gentleman'. He is the most beautiful soul that she has ever come across and his kindness and thoughtfulness never goes unrecognised. Stephen is someone who quietly gets on with things, never misses a thing (even when you think he isn't listening) and has an amazing way of meeting Katie's needs without her ever having to ask. He always follows through with everything he says and is totally and utterly dependable in every way. In fact, Katie is still waiting for him to do something wrong!
Stephen is someone who loves animals but in different ways... if you're the right kind of animal, life with him is heaven and the wrong kind, well: it's total hell. He is happiest outdoors, shooting, whatever the weather. Like Katie, Stephen also has insides and outsides that don't match. To the unenlightened, he always appears to be on his best behaviour but underneath the facade is a wicked sense of humour and a great spirit of adventure. Who would have thought he was 53!? After establishing the 'Handsome Devils Club' in Boston Spa in 2022 he rediscovered his zest for life and hasn't looked back.
Stephen has an amazing flare for anything practical and it never ceases to surprise Katie in regard to his possibilities for improvisation, this is when he is really like a bird of paradise displaying his feathers to impress his mate! He enjoys imparting his knowledge on bird conservation especially to a captured, non- shooting audience and has a general knowledge that is both impressive and pointless at the same time.
After a complete lifetime of searching, Katie doesn't think that she could have ever found anyone more suited to her than Stephen and as she tells him almost hourly, that he is her 'most favourite person, ever'.

About Katie and Stephen
Stephen and Katie had their first date on the 24th October 2021 at Hazlewood Castle near York after hitting it off famously on the telephone. Stephen found that he was unable to wait for the first specified date and called if forward by a week so that he not only meet Katie earlier but so he could also manage to fit in his shooting.
For Katie, it was practically love at first sight as it turned out that Stephen was even much more handsome than he was in his advertisement photos! As it had been a while since Stephen had dated and he was worried he may be a little rusty, he decided to write Katie two letters. These letter were entitled 'If in doubt' and 'If in hope' and they were handed over to Katie at the end of the first date as his insurance policy; 'If in doubt' remains unopened.
The first date was the perfect start to this fairytale story and they became totally inseperable within a very short time. To Stephen's delight, he found a partner in crime that liked doing everything that he enjoys the best: who would have thought it!?
After too many trips to Katie's house in Lincolnshire he asked Katie if she would be prepared to make a 'half move' to a home closer to York. Without any question, Katie threw herself into totally changing her world in order to be with her new best friend.
Katie moved to Boston Spa into 'The Doll's House' in August 2022 and also established her new psychotherapy private practice at the same time. The move was a complete success in every way and also gave Rowan and Maximus time and space to get used to Katie and her hairless cats!
The engagement on the 26th December 2023 was a natural step for everyone and Katie is delighted to also gain Maximus and Rowan as stepchildren and embraces them as her own. They are both proud to welcome Katie to the family and their blessing to the union is represented, by design as two additional diamond hearts on Katie's engagement ring.
Stephen and Katie are looking forward to welcoming everyone to celebrate this very special romance that has brought both of them utter joy and happiness.

Wondering what to wear?
Who doesn't love a good opportunity to get dressed up? Our vibe is going to be countryside glam so it is certainly not black tie, more tweed sports jackets and shirts and ties. Come in something that makes you feel great about yourself.
Katie always thinks about shoes and getting that right... we do have an outdoor space were heels may not work so feel free to bring a spare pair.

All we expect is your wonderful company but a number of people have asked about a gift list and it is trickier as we are older and already have toasters! As we are refreshing the house in York and building that into a home as a new family, we would be grateful for some gift cards for 'Homesense' so we can make some lovely changes with your love and blessings.
